The Art of Speaking Up
A Haitian art exhibition that expresses protest in a new era of prejudice that affects many immigrants and refugees.
The exhibition featured artworks by members of the Haitian Artists Assembly of Massachusetts (HAAM).
Dr. Michel DeGraff, professor of linguistics at MIT and director of the MIT-Haiti Initiative, delivered the keynote address.
Master painter Franck Louissaint also delivered remarks.
The exhibition runs from Feb. 1 - April 1, 2020 at the Massasoit Community library in Brockton, MA
