On February 16th, 2014 Brockton Arts and Tamboo Bistro presented an event to celebrate the release of the book La Tentation de L’autre Rive and the latest storytelling CD San Bri, San Kont by Charlot Lucien.
This event also featured special guests, singer Jocelyne Dorisme, Le Groupe Melanj de Fito Orvil, and local artist Jean-Claude Sainte whose painting graces the cover of the book.

Charlot Lucien is a Haitian storyteller, poet and visual art artist based in Massachusetts, USA. He has released four storytelling CDs in Haitian Creole and French that have been well received by established critics. As a poet, his work has been published in various magazines and newspapers. La tentation de l’autre rive is released by Trilingual Press in Cambridge MA. Charlot frequently offers readings, storytelling sessions and conferences in academic and cultural venues in various US States, Canada, Haiti and France that touch on Haitian culture and history. He is also the founder and director of the Haitian Artists Assembly of Massachusetts.
